It skims well only during the first day after I clean the collection cup then the skimming slows dramatically.

There's plenty of bubbles on the riser tubes but...

There's plenty of bubbles on the riser tubes but only roughly halfway up the collection cup. The scum that is collected during the first day is pretty dark in color.

skimmer question

I've got a deltec mce300. This is supposed to be a good skimmer, but why do I need to clean it out everyday to get more than 1" of scum collection? Initially I thought it was b/c I only have 3...
