Thanks for all the help, I am looking into all of these skimmers, some are harder to find then others in Canada. As for the putting it on a timer, I've heard it takes skimmers a few days to set in...

I have a SeaClone Protein Skimmer. I only have about 1.5 inch of opening between my glass lid and the rim of the tank for the pipes to go into the tank. Kind of limits the options :cry:

Having a hard time sleeping because my protein skimmer is so loud. Wondering if anyone knows what the quietest hang on back protein skimmer is for a 30g tank?
