I'm using DISTILLED WATER. I have no hair algea
just green green water, cloudy as hell. wierd!
bio load is low.

and I'm buying snowwhite silica sand[size of sugar] from a mason and mortar supplyier.According to many reefers there is no problem with this sand[DR....

what the? my tank was running fine for a year
[skimmerless] then all of a sudden GREEN!
in 1 day! did a 10g water change [65g tank]
and its actually worse. what the heck happened.
haven't...

hi jack, I did the exact same thing as we had extra light fixtures lying around. 1 thing I did different was use waterproof endcaps! this was suggested by many reefers as salt water will corrode...
