At that price point, I'll have to wait to see how it pans out in the real world. Alkalinity and calcium are wonderful, but I'd prefer to have nitrate and phosphate too.

You can also use gutter guard from home depot. Line the overflow with it (I ziptied it to mine) and it prevents any sort of fish going into the overflow. You'll need to clean it periodically though.
