People use it (uncoated) to build faux backgrounds, but say that it's a good idea to paint it.

probably will be ok. From the posts I've read, it's non-toxic so it should be safe. As far as strength goes, if a guy can hang from his hard hat from a I-beam it should be fine...lol

I think if i increased the wattage that it would grow quicker...

I was skeptical about the 2600, but apparently its working...
