I used Brightwell Alkalin 8.3 Liquid Buffer, bought from J& L. This product said once PH reach 8.3, PH will not raise any higher, only ALK will increase. So far I don't have problem with it.

Correct me if I am wrong. I think all crabs are bad, even blue leg hermit crabs. I used to have them as part of my cleaning crew. But they attack snails and sometime corals.

I will get a sea hare. They are very good hair algae eaters. I got mine clean my 90G within a week. But it doesn't eat any other algae such as red slim. So may be you can sell it or bring it back...
