I agree with Black Phantom. Also, if you don't have the tools to clean up and square your edges well, you may want to try WeldOn 16. It doesn't make the nicest looking seam, but it is a bit easier...

I mean test the water you are using to make new saltwater. Also, regardless of when you got your test kit, you should compare it to another (take a sample to the store or a buddy to test).

A large, quiet "hi-tech" tank is actually not too too hard to achieve. If you want to keep noise down, run the water level in your overflow higher (so the water only drops down about an inch or less)...
