is it time to re SILICONE my tank?
i will be getting a 12y/o tank on sat 85g,its held water for that time,would it be a good idea to place new silicone on it ,or not bother does this stuff break down with time ?,and is it easy to do...

I guess that would depend on condtions in your tank,it does grow quickly but its easy to frag so you dont need to worry about it over growing your tank,plus its pulseing looks great

your right the 50/50s do make the tank look...
your right the 50/50s do make the tank look better but i was wondering if by putting a single actinic with the 10k it would reduce the yellow effect and keep the brightness,thanks again for posting...

that would be great can you post a pic,the last time i saw 10ks on a tank they were vfo i dont know if that made a difference,but chads tank much brighter than mine a little yellow to but he didnt...

i was at king eds today but tank + lid cost...
i was at king eds today but tank + lid cost slightly more than i had after a few pieces of lr etc,its for a LEOPARD GECKO i picked another one up from the pet store its in really bad shape it bones...

thanks guys i did check the buy and sell all the tanks i found were pretty much full setups $60+ all i really need is a 10g ish maybe a lid of some sort would be cool .

I didnt see him kill it but was feeding on it when i caught him,the shrimp had just molted to,i guess it could have been the hermits but they dont seem to bother anything.
