I thought zoo's too, but when they close up, they all but dissapear. Have some zoo's on the other side of that same rock and they look nothing like these.

Any idea what the better brands/types of compact flourecents are? Just got a sweet deal on a Coralife e-z double ballast kit, now just need tubes and reflectors for it. It takes 2 96watt...

The reason I ask is I have about 3/4 of a can of NABS from when I bred angels as well. Belive it or not its been about 4 years and the eggs are still viable, just hatched out a batch for the wifes...

Never tried overdriving t-12's only the t8's.

My father is an electrician as well, and he honestly didnt think it would work. He stood on the other side of the room when we plugged them in.

I have about 3-4 electronic ballasts ($25-$30each) laying around so yea I have the equipment. The fixture on one of my freshwater tanks has 2 40 watt tubes overdriven 4x... roughly 320 watts not...
