Yup, they were very fresh (and completely white/brown). I got them off ebay after hurricane katrina. Some guy collected empty shells that ended up inland. I still have a big box of larger shells.....

Metal Halide Bulb randomly breaking???

So today when I got home from work, my 150w hqi wouldn't fire....

Upon further inspection, one end of the bulb is blown out, and the inside tube is cracked in half!!!

Its a corallife 14,000k...
