What do you guys use to remove the sand, just a regular old gravel vac? Scoop it out ?

Changing out Sand. Good idea or not ..
My 36 Gallon tank has Caribsea Sugar sand, probably about 1 1/2" deep.
Big mistake with a Orange Goby and 2 Koralia 4's moving water. Rocks are constantly covered with fine dust and I have blast...

Update, It's been awhile.
The tank was taken down last fall and everything moved into a 25 gallon tank and moved into our bedroom.
Lost some livestock and inverts due to power outages that I caused, but other than a daily...
