I just went and bought 2 of those bulbs this afternoon. The guy at home depot showed me the different color temps on a flourescent cover. They range from from? 3000 to 6500. The daylight is supposed...

NO/VHO Lighting Question
Ok, This has bugged me for some time. Now it is time to find out what the answer is.
Question: What determines the light output of the flourescent, the bulb or the basllast?
Example: 48" bulbs...

Wood/Glass Tank
Can you use Wood/Glass Front tanks for reef tanks. I see they use them in fresh water tanks and don't know if they could be used for salt? Any comments..
