Site Counter
Hi,
I think the site counter is based on how many times the counter itself is loaded. So, if you press refresh, the counter updates. I just tried it and it seems to work now.
Each page has...

Sockeye Salmon
Hi,
Oily fish, such as salmon, tuna and halbut, should not be used in a reef tank. The problem is that they introduce a bit of oil in to the tank. Since oil is not usually used by corals or...

F32T8 to drive 1 VHO?
Hi,
I believe true VHO tubes have a small sleeve that prevents the VHOs from using the cheap Leviton connectors. It is like a small protective plastic around the two pins. The regular NOs don't...

F32T8 to drive 1 VHO?
Hi,
Short answer...yes. 2x will underdrive by a lot (like a regular NO T12), but a 4x should put it in the same league (if not slightly higher) than the Icecap.

F32T8 to drive 1 VHO?
Hi,
At the full rate current (which is in the vicinity of 1.2 to 1.6 A), VHO's output drops off like a rock and they only last about 6 months.
So, the VHOs with reduced current should help...

Finally tested for Calcium.
Hi,
IMHO, no matter how you keep your calcium up to normal sealevel levels, you should test once in a while to ensure things are in check.
Good luck with your clam.

Lighting tests
Hi,
Since the measurements were made with an offset of 4" away from the MH bulb, the MH can still drive a bit more light power in to a small area than a PC. I suspect that at 18" in depth, that...
