I use my old fresh water to water my indoor plants. And I'm going to try using my salt water for de-icing my sidewalk. The ladder was just an after thought... Which might or might not work.

I only change twice. I don't do a lot of dusty gravel road driving. If I did the change schedule would be different. Clean your filter to your driving needs. That is the way it should be done....

Does it start on the remote then shut down as soon as you put the key in? If yes try the other key. It is possible the chip in the key is failing. Also I think the dealer can test the key. Or it...

Not repairing a chip it what I think cost me...
Not repairing a chip it what I think cost me around 15G's to repair my hardwood flooring, baseboards and even some flooring in the basement. And I had "only a 50 gallon". I would replace it!!!
