Im not sure about Calgary, But you can get then thru J&L or ocean aquatics.
Forget the tool the 3/4 stuff is simple to work with, The 1/2 inch is a bit tougher but still workable.

You can Y it off and have one pointed down to add flow to the tank and one just under the water level for surface agitation.
