I have an Emperor juv I got him little over a year ago. He was about 1" long and now about 3.5" long nips here and there when hes hungery, just on the sps, and not the clams.

The longer tank adds more veiwing for you but the shorter is better for aquasapping. And needs less lighting.
I have a 48x24x24 tank, so I would have to go with the shorter tank.

You can file the trim down where the 2x4, sit tight against the tanks. Just don't trim One tank do both and that should work for you.

WTB 24" long tank.

I'm looking for a 20G tank or larger tank for a sump. The Tanks is 24"x24", needs to fit under the stand.
I could use a 250watt heater too.

I'm liking the 10' long tank tank. If your go 36" front to back and 24"-27" deep you might be able to get a way with four 250 HQI and couple t-5. But you would have to run the lights about 12"- 16"...
