Yes, usually the Coralife is considered at the lower end of quality. I believe much of the body is plastic and not acrylic.

Hey Telford,

I have a Tunze 9015 (their biggest DOC skimmer) and they too have a very small footprint. Deltec are excellent skimmers but you might want to look at the Tunze 9005 as an option.

I use a Hurricane overflow (www.hurricanefilters.com) and have done so for about 6 months with no problems what-so-ever. Got it on e-bay from them and it was a lot cheaper option.

I just treated my main display recently with FWE (Ocean Aquatics still sells it) and it was really a breeze. Of course you have to siphon out as many as you can first and then be ready to do that...

Depending on the size of your return line, drill 4 because they can and do plug up. I scrub mine weekly with a toothbrush. Mind you they are only 1/8" holes because my return line is only 5/8's.
