Yup,... you sure do have a nicely finished tank and location in your house. Good job... If I was building a house, I would do a peninsula tank as well. Great choice on your part...

I actually use granulated carbon in my canister (similar to a DI refillable filter), same with GFO. Works well. Except my pre-filter sponge does clog up. That's why I was asking.

The reason I'm asking is that I run similar carbon and GFO canisters in series with a sponge pre-filter. But mine...

Is your pump base bolted down to something solid? If not, it is free to vibrate and transfer motion noise to your plumbing.

Yeah, he's put so much into the beautiful house, tank, and sump room, to make it as close to perfect as possible, so why skimp on that.
I have a basement sump room, and used to a run closed loop...
