highlighter dropped in tank

So any one know how to stop my water from glowing. Already dida 40 percent water change. What else can I do? Maybe I should put the tops back on the tank and not leave the 2 year olds near the tank when I use the washroom... Doesn't seam to be bothering any corals or fish but WOW does it glow under actinic lighting!

Hey that's cool!Highlighter ink is non toxic,so probably no harm done.a glowing pink tank would certainly trip me out.:rainbow1:

Kinda just looks like suspended algae. I would have picked something other than green myself. It's not super bright but def unnatural. I wonder how it would have looked under actinic before a water change tho. We'll see if I can get pics, but that means I would have to scrape the glass.... At first I was really worried. Turns out its all good tho (at least so far). Might be fun come Halloween with the blacklights. I was thinking maybe some filter floss or something to soak out the color? I always worry about the babies throwing something in. Im glad it was just a non toxic highlighter. Could have been much worse. Last week it was toilet paper in the grow out tank (that ones no longer within reach). Is no way to move the 120 tho. Arent 2 year old twins fun.

I feel for ya.....might be time to consider a locking cabinet of some sort:wink:

You need a cover to keep things from jumping INTO the tank:biggrin:
