I found this little guy inside the rock. He is about 5mm length. Does anybody know what is it?

Looks like some sort of isopod/copepod.

Frankly I'd be getting rid of him but thats up to you

I'd say it's an Amphipod due to the dissimilar legs, and yah, that's too big for a reef tank IMHO :surprise:

curious, what is the scale?

You'd have a better live view. Any similar characteristics?

good thing you got him out. that would attach to a fish - it's a "Cymothoa exigua" or tongue parasite

No, it's definitely not a "Cymothoa exigua". It some kind of isopod/amphipod species.

Isopods that attack fish do it very quickly, like within minutes of a fish being present. If this thing was living in the rock, it's likely fine leaving it there. Just keep it away from the Doritos!
