External parasite? Bristleworm scrap?

There appears to be small bristles coming off of my yellow watchman goby. As far as I can tell only on the one side of the head. I can't really see a body to go with the bristles (like you would see freshwater anchor worms).
External parasite or has my goby just gotten in a scrap with a bristleworm? I have seen him/her joust with the bristleworms when they try to hijack food.
I tried my best to get photos but its proving tricky.

Black arrows being the bristles. Red arrow something else that I'm hoping isn't a problem.

The left black arrow: Kinda seems like what you think is correct bristleworm imo.
