Magnesium Question

I'm wondering if there are any test kits around edmonton for Magnesium?

I'm not sure my levels of magnesium are adequate, I know they do get replenished when I do water changes. My Calcium is adequate so I'm not too sure?

One of the reason's I am asking is that I'm having trouble growing certain SPS corals while others are thriving?

If anyone has some ideas to add I'm all eyes!

I've got the Seachem Reef Status Magnesium test kit, bought from J&L Aquatics in BC (have an online store). I'm not real impressed with the kit, it was somewhat spendy, is a PITA to do a test, and not particularly accurate. Repeatable, but not accurate. Either that or the referance solution they included was way off. Either way I had to create a factor of about 15% to add to my measured reanding in order to get the actual reading. BUT, it is working despite the drawbacks... I know you mentioned Edmonton area, but J&L ships pretty quick.

MA will have them.

I use Red Sea. And while its a good test it's a little complicating at first

Can I ask what corals are not growing to liking as some are just slow

I found monti and blue acros were largely unsucessful, my Birdsnest is doing great and my bonsai is so-so,

I had to move my Forest fire digi, and my monti to my 5G and they're doing awesome in there...but they suffered in my 12G...so strange.
