I really need to get rid of my saltwater as i need more room for my africans cichlids.

Are you going to treat for cyanobacteria (red slime) before selling? That might help, the slime is a little unsightly for resale...

Just a thought - the Chemi-Clean product works really well. :biggrin:

its not red slime. that i know fora fact...i had a break out in my big tank before. its an algae build up.

I will take new picks just to prove it.

Actually, it's bacteria. Not algae at all. And I didn't see any in the pics.

Perhaps I was mistaken. Some of those first photos looked like there some red blanket going on... These new ones are better.

(edit - I'm still seeing some, and that's also what rocks look like when you blow 'em off. Nothing to be ashamed of, it happens in most tanks from time to time...)

I really don't see any indication of cyano inthose pics. Maybe I'm cyanoblind, but I don't see it.... :neutral:

I just had a tank full of it, and it looked just like some of these pictures. It's not a debate, just an observation and subsequent suggestion. If you want my detailed analysis, I can go through them one by one, but that's hardly the point of this thread is it?
