Radion G2 Question
 

Does anyone know if Ecotech has addressed the software and power supply issues with the G2 version of the radion? I emailed Ecotech a week ago but they aren't answering, I am assuming that the lack of response probably means no but I am hoping I'm wrong.

The power supplies are the same for Gen 1 and 2's However, can't say for sure the newer ones aren't better. They also use the same software. The desktop version is much more stable now, but I understand the new web based version still has a lot of problems. In all fairness, it is still in beta. I am only using the desktop version so far, and it works fine for me.

The Gen 2's have a lot more PAR than the Gen 1's. Even with the TIR lens on Gen 1, the Gen 2s have 23% more avg PAR and 43% peak. The Gen 2's also have a more water resistant fan.

I have not had a problem with my Gen 1 fans or power supplies yet, so hope it doesn't happen just after the warranty expires.

I just got my new Gen 2's the other day, so will be trying them out soon.

Nice! I think I'll just pull the trigger and order one up.
