i need a new band saw. for doing projects
i was watching the DIY network the other night and came across this. http://www.lowes.ca/reciprocating-sa...ductItemsImage was wondering if any one had seen it in action? for reefing i would use it for cutting pcv, wood, and corals. has a pretty neat wall mount. http://images.rockler.com/rockler/im...439-01-500.jpg |
Problem I see with this tool is its more like a jig saw or scroll saw compared to a bandsaw. Blades on these would be weaker then a traditional bandsaw.
For PVC & wood I prefer my 10" dual compound sliding miter saw & corals I would suggest a simple wet tile saw. |
geez grizz why are you running the baby saw lol id have to agree tho i have just about every saw a man could want and i see no use at all for that lil fella

I use a saw thats designed for coral fragging made by Inland.

now you got me thinking.
little band saw plus chop saw? hmmm. damn there goes my weekends in the power tool section |
huh.. I was expecting to see a discussion about lastlight here when I read the title. Anyway, that's a cool looking apparatus! Definitely has many uses.

saw
rockwell is a good brand for power tools but for coral fragging a ring saw or a dremel with a diamond blade would be better.my tile saw cuts a 1/4" wide cut and i'm reluctant to use that for fragging.right now i use my dremel with a flex arm until i decide to by a ring saw
