Finally got a rose (with pic)!!!

Picked up a rose at Wai's today, looked extremely healthy and it was *only* $130... I'll post pics as soon as its acclimated properly, I'd say its around 3 inches... he has a few more if anyone is interested...
sorry for the poor quality of the pic (and algae  )...

Rose

Great Rose color!
I'm jealous (tanks too young)
But.. dibs on a clone
Good Luck.
BTW what light conditions did he pick?, or is he still moving?

He (she????) has actually stayed in the spot that I first put him in.... he's basically directly under a 400w mh (about 20 inches under). I just noticed that it has the "splitting scars" that anemone's seem to get once they have split, so its good to know that its of the splitting variety.

Looks nice Sean!

PS. Ok if I move this to the picture forum? I think it fits better in that forum.

I think I should be able to handle it in the pic section.

 Spike, you certainly were after one for quite a while  Maybe you shouldn't waited a wee bit longer, I hear the prices are plummeting in the US.

Does anyone here read Aquarium Fish magazine, I heard about an article that says these guys are bleached to allow their true pigment to show. Meaning that they have no zooxanthellae, and have to be fed frequently. Is this true?

spikehs 03-30-2004 03:33 AM

yah i heard about the falling prices... oh well what can you do? it took us soo long to get them anyways, maybe the prices will stay higher longer... who knows, atleast I have one now!
