algae in a new system

my system is now two weeks old.Ive had lr in it for a week.i am now starting to get a oraney brown algae starting to grow on most of my lr and patches on the glass. My qusetion is will the algae die off after cycling and my levels are all good or do i have to correct this problem another way?

its all part of the new tank cycle...even after ur tank has finish the ammonia cycle you ll still be goin thru the algae cycle.

Those are diatoms and are common in a new tank. Don't worry. Your tank will go through a few different cycles before it's ready to go.

How long are you leaving the lights on for? Might think of a little less light, it might help limit the algae but as stated it is normal.
