Complete guide to moving A Saltwater tank

Found this on 3reef.com and thought it may be useful to some people, so I thought I would share, its fairly detailed, not 100% sure how accurate it is, but feel free to add points here for future references

Easiest move ever was my 75g SPS reef. I drained the water into 5g water jugs, loaded in truck. Picked up tank with everything in it, put in truck, drove to new house, put tank on stand, added water. Done.

It seems simple the way you wrote it. Did you have any help?

Ya, there were 4 of us. One guy sat in the back of the van to make sure the tank didn't rock. I did it twice with that tank, successful both times, although the fish were a bit ticked off...

I move people's tanks out of their house all the time. All you need is buckets and Rubbermaid containers
