Identify HELP
 
I have the strangest looking thing in my tank. It looks like and ancient trilobite. I have a picture of it but cant post it. Is someone willing to post it for me for identification purposes. Its about a half inch long and quarter ich wide. \

let me be the first to guess that it is a chitin. (sp?) they are cool and unfortunately I don't have any in my tank.

yup a chiton for sure...they scrape algae off your rocks

Yup, chiton (pronounced "kite-on"). I have a few as well. Apparently they wreak havoc on acrylic though, just so you know.

Well the old saying has come true again. Here today gone tomorrow. No sign of it anymore. Guess I got lucky to get a pic of it. Thanks to Steve for posting it, Reef Rat and all who replied.
