Are you wondering if you can wire the moon lights separate from the main lights?

On my biocube it has like a tearaway style cord for moon lights but I bought my cube used and had no cord I have tons of 12v adapters around but none with the same end so I'm wondering if I could cut the cords and wire em up I do know I could just go to the source and buy a adapter for probably $20 but hey I have all these adaperters here and if I could use one why not

As long as your new supply is the proper voltage and size you won't have an issue. You can bypass the plug and direct wire if needed as well. You might want to find the specs on an original transformer to be sure you know what to use.
