T5 Lighting Question

Hi guys, I recently bought an older Tek 8 bulb unit and decided to do a fan mod to it. After it was all put back together and running I noticed that one of the bulbs doesn't seem to be as bright as it should be and a few others don't seem to be lit at the ends (aprox an inch in) I didn't touch any of the wiring wile I was in, but was wondering if maybe I bumped a connection or something.....any thoughts?

I still need to get the fan grills, but there up and running

I can't give you a definitive answer but I can run through a few tests I would do.

1) Change out the bulb that has the minimal output. I have seen multiple ballast reactions to bad bulbs and have seen this before.

2) Check your common to that ballast(white wire)

3) Did you use different input wiring for the fans. (I wouldn't link to ballast power supply).

I really think it is the bulb hopefully not the ballast.
Good luck on the tests.
Kevin

Thanx Kevin,

I'll try moving the bulb to a different spot and see if it does the same thing somewhere else. As for the power to the fans I ran a separate line out to it's own plug.

Can you buy just the sockets for these fixtures? they were VERY stiff when I took the bulbs out and re-installed them
