New Frag ID Please

Hello,

I picked up a couple new frags today, and would like some help with IDs please.

I think this one is a type of favia, but im not 100% sure

And I think this is a small chalice coral, but again not sure.

The first one looks very similar to my christmas favites. im not 100% sure on the chalice but i believe it could be an alien eye chalice

"Chalice" includes Oxypora, Pectinia, Echinophyllia and a few others that are less common. Oxypora is the "true" Chalice coral, although we see more Echinos in the hobby so it is what most people recognize as Chalice corals.

I'm pretty sure Levi is right and that it is an Oxypora, so here is a bigger Oxypora photo:

Thanks. I have been trying to figure this particular coral out for a while without luck. My chalice is much much different.

thanks a lot for the fast replies guys. it has given me a lot more reading to do!

another question i have now, what are signs of healthy or unhealthy frags of each. something tells me there wont be much inflation/deflation of the chalice coral, but maybe color change. the favites i believe ive read should feel kind of "meaty", but mine feel hard like a rock.
