Pendants, Pendants, Pendants
We get lots of questions about pendants, how to build one, do we sell them, where could I get one for my LED build etc etc.
There is not really a great supply out there or even anywhere I have found to get a good pendant for DIY. Well problem solved. These have gone to the factory today and hope to get the first prototypes in this week. Our first pendant is for a 3 foot tank however 4 foot will be next and individual pendants for 1 LED module. http://applications.ccusa.com/martin/orange2.jpg They are light weight, made of aluminium with a powder coat finish. We have not settled on the color scheme yet. The prototypes are black and orange for our company colors however. I quite like the look of the black and white. Anndddd... for a little extra plus a week or two we can get them in whatever color you want to order. http://applications.ccusa.com/martin/orange.jpg http://applications.ccusa.com/martin/bw.jpg http://applications.ccusa.com/martin/green.jpg http://applications.ccusa.com/martin/white.jpg What you guys think? |
Very nice Martin very nice indeed.

Very nice will these be sold along with the DYI LED kits you sell or as a stand alone product?
What price point can we expect? |
I would imagin after meeting Martin that they will be available stand alone & with his kits @ a very reasonable price.
EDIT: Sorry Martin, I don't know how the stupid " thumbs down " icon got on my post but I changed it now because you are all :thumb: from me |
Both, we will sell the separately too.
Its too early for pricing I don't want to ball park you and then realize we forgot something later. Should have them soon though. This is just a sneek peek at what is coming. Martin |
Great idea.

OOOOOoo exciting. will there be any auto-shut-off in case of overheating/fan failure?
|
I am working on a computer controller to control sunrise and stuff. If you had that option added on yea it will have autoshut off with a temperature reading inside the case. Otherwise should be getting some fan alarms in that would go off if the fan failed. They are pretty cheap prob sell for about $2.

Any news?

Expecting the first batch Wednesday or Thursday so will know more then and get the pricing worked out. Ended up going with a 1 foot more modular pendant approach for the first batch allows up to 28 LEDs per 1 foot pendant and you can string multiple side by side.
Should have some pictures this week. Martin |
