I phone 4 16 gig's with the 4.3.5 mod
 

hey All i recently bought off a friend a i-phone 4 16 gig they had it when they were posted to Washington State at the Army base there with AT&T.
So i have to jail break it and unlock it to use here in Canada. However i have jail broken it I think ,but cant seem to get it unlocked can anyone help me out after spending about 40 bucks online it seems i can't find the 4.3.5 one to sort it out.

it reads the Rogers setup and from the WiFi

i use MTS and it doesn't show anything on a sim card from MTS

Afaik if the baseband is 4.10.1 it can't be unlocked yet. It's the modem firmware basically.

OS 4.3.5 cant be unlocked yet you have to downgrade to an older OS and I believe you have to change the baseband as well before you jailbreak it. If you check around on kijijii there are always cheap ways to get this done IMO its worth the 20-50$ if you really want to use the Iphone...

Also, you shouldn't need to pay for the jail break applications. It is available for free. The paid versions are just copies of the free version and may do other weird things.

Thanks Brad i have tried everything i guess that the main thing is the broad band I'm not a i phone guy I'm still on the rumor 2 lol however they state that they can un lock it so its out to PAy pal to get my money back

well i have the same problem with the same OS and baseband, try to downgrade but keep failing :-(. you can jailbreak the 4.3.5 but it is tethered. Here is instruction

Yeah, apple acutally won't allow you to downgrade.

I'm a little interested in if you want it jail broken to use it on another carrier or you just want it jail broken? If you want it for a carrier unlock check out the gevey card I'm using it just fine latest update and using a bell phone on Rogers.
