Are my t5 enough for my new tank

Hey everyone,

I just upgraded to a tank to is 36 inches long and I have a 24" 4 bulb t5.
Do you think that this fixture is sufficient for my new tank if I raise it up further from the tank?

how deep and wide is the tank?

what type of fixture is it?

The tank is 18 inches wide by 17 inches deep.
It is a sunlight supply 24" 4 t5 fixture

Personally I think it'd be fine for LPS and softies. Not so sure about SPS tho...

Okay, that answers my question! I wasn't planning on doing any sps for the time being anyways.

You could probably keep SPS high up in the tank with a 4 Bulb fixture but you won't be able to keep them lower than 8" under the water probably.

Okay, My main concern was that the tank would look strange without a fixture the entire length of the tank. But I guess the only way I can find out is to get the new tank set up and running!
