WC Water

Just outta curiosity, what is everyone doing with the water they take out during a water change? I usually flush it, but then I got to thinking, I'm gonna turn Okanagan Lake into Okanagan sea if I keep it up. What do others do with with their salty left overs?

Its all about ppm
Lets say you flush 50 gal a week. Thats nothing for the lake. Besides, its constantly slowly flowing to the sea and being replenished by rain is it not? Dilution.
3/4 of my pail goes down the storm drain and the bottom 1/4 with debris, goes on the lawn

Go

use as weedkiller on your driveway. (NOT YOUR GRASS!)

Doesn't kill mine
1/4 bucket splashed across lawn once a week

The water from my reef goes into one of my other tanks, and the other tanks go down the drain.

I wish there was an energy and space efficient salt remover. Even if it only took out half the salt say...better then nothing, at least I could water my gardens with it.

Might work in the summer. Long frost here...
