JoeJuice

Does any know the make up of Joejuice? Will it kill my bubble tip anemone and other softies?

I used it in a tank with bta's and softies with no affect. just fallow the instructions.

apexifd 04-13-2011 05:20 PM

not unless if you put the paste all over the bta.

I think that's the million dollar question. I have used it also right beside my aussie scolly without any problems. I also like to cut the bottom of a pop bottle off, cover the area after the dose to make it more effective.

The makeup is Kalk and water. As others said "only if you put it on them". Once again Kalk and water. Go buy same kalk and add water to make a paste. It's the same thing. So Joes Juice is a waste of money.

Basically thats it but if you really want to know exactly how its made here is the patent http://www.patentgenius.com/patent/7179478.html The recipe is down near the bottom of the page.

Read the ingredients on the patent, is that their way of saying it might actually be a different mixture each time?

Transcend 04-14-2011 05:34 PM

hey Madreefer, have u tried the kalk and water mixture, does it work the same?

gobytron 04-14-2011 07:43 PM

it' Kalk and water with a little shrimp juice to initialize a feeding response...

If you do a search on reefcentral, someone posted a link to the patent file...

Yes I have and it works the same but I make my paste a little thicker.
