ChemMaster's Mg mix
going to make up some solutions for 2-part dosing and have some leftover Mg from ChemMaster/littlesilvermax.
Know the mix was a blend of magnesium chloride/magnesium sulphate, but can't remember (and can't find) the ratio. Was it 5:3 (for 8 cups total to a gallon of water)? |
He mixed it at a ratio of 8:1 (or maybe 8.5:1) IIRC unless you specified in your order that you wanted a different mixture. And yes, its 8 cups to total 1 gallon of water.

Yeah, 5:3 if you're dosing with Calcium chloride. I can't remember what Ben premixed mine out at but I thought it was that, but who knows. It's probably explained in his thread somewhere buried behind the 100 pages of "To to top" posts.
Found this nice synopsis of 5:3 vs 10:1 here http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1685138 which then references the RHF articles. |
