It is hard to find but i have found a supplier in Calgary, they are in the acrylic buss. How much are you looking for?

Have not seen GE Silicone 1 in black at Can Tire here either. I have hit EVERY store Thayer sell silicone and NO ONE had black.

GE #1 does not come in black as far as I know (only GE#2) which is why you can't find it. Home Depot in Calgary definitely sells GE#1 clear though, just bought some not too long ago. GE#2 is still safe for aquarium use once fully cured (don't believe otherwise). The only issues with GE#1 and 2 is they are not adhesives (rtv) and are made for sealing and not construction. The construction grade silicone are better for holding tanks together but the regular silicone work fine for sealing purposes. However that said I've still built tanks with GE#1 and 2 and never had an issue with either.

I have Permatex Black silicone on my 150g. Got at Lordco. No reactions, nothing. Have used it on for a few years now.
