Live rock turning brown?

I have a 10g tank and everthing has been going fine, (other than finding a few assorted crabs) but I'm not sure why my live rock has been turning brown:surprise: I just bought the live rock about a week ago, and it hasnt changed colour until now. I have proper circulation, and ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all fine. Any ideas?

Thanks:biggrin:

New tank? Diatoms, a normal part of cycling. They'll go away on their own.

Finding "assorted crabs".... what kind of crabs? Hermits or "bad" crabs?

Are there really any bad crabs? Or are they just misunderstood? :) I found some ugly crab while moving my rock, but felt bad for him getting yanked from his home so I put him back in the tank.

I have a Zebra Moray that thinks all crabs are good :grab:

okay, so diatoms. and they'll go away. Good:biggrin:
and I have about 3, a brownish one which is about an inch and a half, a very small one that looks somewhat hairy, and a lumpy green one. also, while im mentioning everything, I'll say something about the orange and white worm that burrows itself in my sand. Are they the bad kind? or just misunderstood?

Probably need some kind of pic on the worm :) For me, crabs are all good until caught eating something I paid money for :)

the worm is probably a bristle worm some people hate them but there reef safe and excelent sand and rock cleaners .I have hundreds in my tanks and dont have any problems .If you can get over the creepyness factor they make great clean up crew.
