Breeding Clowns
I was just wondering if anyone had any information on breeding clown fish. My mated pair have been laying a lot of eggs lately and their offspring always die out. I know I need to feed them live food (rotifers?) and syphon them out when they are born. Do they have any light requirements in a seperate tank?
If anyone has any information on this I would really appreciate it. Thanks! |
I was going breed some. Doesnt seem like a "easy" task though
Ive been reading up here: http://www.breedclownfish.com/ Lots of good info. |

I could recommend you to a million sites on google search.
But i can almost say for certain that it is the water quality. This is the biggest mistake new breeders make. Buy a good product like ClorAm-X. http://aquascienceresearch.com/cloram-x.html Wattage Lighting is unimportant but a regular on/off for light is. |
The book "Clownfishes" by Joyce D. Wilkerson is a great resource for anyone contemplating raising the critters.
