Telephone wiring
Anybody have any idea as to what the wiring routing would be for a telephone jack in my wall, I am renovating the room for my new tank and when taking the telephone faceplate off I broke some wires off. I went and have a new faceplate but for the life of me I cant seem to hook it back up properly. Its a double jack but I only need one phone line. The wires coming from the wall are orange, green, blue, blue+white, orange+white, green and white, the jack has red, green, black+yellow connections up on the top jack, and blue, orange, black, red, green, yellow brown and white wiring connectors on the bottom....any help is much appreciated.

if you have a multimeter test for the two lines with voltage attach them to the two top screws on the face plate i believe and that should work id have to get a picture to show you. you can also check at the point of d mark or wher ethe line comes in to see what wires they used to run the line to the area but usually its the top two that is used the rest dont really matter

for the phone jack red/green (the center 2) good chance for the wiring from the wall blue and blue/white.
Can also check where the line come into the house and see how they're split |
Mark's advice seems logical. If it doesn't work, call me! Glad to help!
