toadstool coral

how big will a toadstool coral get in a 50 gallon
mine is getting top heavy so is it time to learn how to frag?

I had one that was well over a foot across. I removed the coral, placing it on a board and wet towel, with bowls of tank water and some pieces of live rock ready.

I then made a cut all around the top, leaving a smaller crown on the base. I then placed the cut section, which is now like a large "O" , on the towel. Then cut it into sections.

There are many ways to secure them to the rocks, but I like to use mono fishing line and a needle. Pierce the piece, passing the line through and tie off to a rock. Dont make the line to tight or it will cut the body of the leather. As soon as its attached, cut the line and pull it through, again to prevent cutting the coral as it grows.
