I always thought of the black ink like in the cartoons when octopus get stressed.

One fellows comment made me chuckle.

"Didn't you realize that it grabbed your camera to lead you to the big wooden crate on the bottom of the sea filled with thousands of metal gold round things worth millions. Maybe next time"

An octopus in waters off of Wellington, New Zealand, just experienced a wild ride.

Videographer Victor Huang was filming there when the octopus grabbed his camera and swam off with it while the camera was still recording. Huang thinks the shiny blue metallic camera caught the attention of the curious, and probably hungry, cephalopod.
