is my cloun exploding

so I found out there was something under my my F. maroon cloun fish.

2 days later it became fairly big, it apears like her belly is opening up and something is about to fall out.

2 days ago, I was thinking about eggs, as thy are putting them down each 14 days, but as I never had seen it, and it is becomming worst by the houre, what could it be.

dont want to have the fish suffer, so if there is no way back, I want to try to get her out and give her a fast end, but dont know whats happening

sugestions !!!

THat does look like a tear in her belly you have to get her out of there and QT till you know what is going on with her she may not be able to lay eggs. She may have tale worm an infection of some kind or even a tumer. You should get her out before the other fish start picking at her.

Jeeze kevin, that looks nasty. Are eggs that big? To me what ever it is seems way too big to be eggs.

I agree tho, I would put her in a quarentine tank before the other fish start picking at whatever they are.

I didn't say what type of eggs just said they could be eggs. If the are some kind of preditory worm egg then you don't want them in your tank when they hatch. If they are not eggs then my guess would be a twisted intestine or tumer after looking agian. I copied to my desk top and blow the pic up You can not see any type of embreow so I would bet tumer of some sort. Have you seen her pooping regularly?

I'm inclined to agree that those are NOT clownfish eggs. They do seem too large for that. Other that that, I don't have any idea what you are dealing with there. I hope she makes it.

Those are definitely not clown eggs. Clowns have much much smaller eggs. It also looks like that is an opening in the stomach of the fish and not in the genital region.

Those could be clownfish eggs that she is for some reason unable to release. Has she ever laid eggs before? has she been preparing a nest site recently?

ok so the pictures only show 1/2 of what was hanging out today, I was trying to get her out and give her up.

than after a few houres she put a big patch of eggs again (she puts them down each 2 weeks.

never seen the lumb hanging out, but after she put down the eggs, it is all gone.

there is still a woond of about 1/3 to 1/2 inch, but it is a clean woond, and nothing hanging down anymore.

whit this happening I'm thinking of leaving her in the tank and se what will happen.

it was extreamly severe what was hanging out, but all gone.

so keep you posted on the progress.

I'm wondering if she had a problem with her vent, like maybe an egg was stuck in it or something. The belly opening could have been if she grazed a rock or something as the skin on the belly thins as eggs develop and they are using all their reserves to go into reproduction. She could have grazed it on a rock or something and because of the pressure of the eggs it opened up.

Defintely keep an eye on it, that wound is now a source of exposure to water and she'll have to be constantly osmoregulating to get the salt out of her system. If you can, get her away from the male or she'll be producing another batch of eggs before its healed.

Could very well be a vent issue. Stuck eggs is common problem in parakeets (yes, a previous life of mine) and is often fatal. If it were a FW fish you could probably put her in a epsom salt bath, but I'm not sure what you can do in SW.
