A Very Sad Day
It is a very sad day here at Grizzly Acres as our Lion Fish, Leo, has pasted on & is now swimming in the big water in fishy heaven. I have no idea how old it was as we got him when we bought our first 65 gal SW tank this summer. He was one of the most magnificent creature's I have ever had. Don't know what happened to him but it was very fast, in a matter of 2 day's all his side fin's & dorsal fin disintegrated away, it had a big open wound like something was eating him. So very had he was our favorite fish with a personality like no other.
Here is Leo in all his glory. http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...91101-1446.jpg |
I had a lionfish die in the same way a few years ago after I did a Flatworm Exit treatment. It was pretty heartbreaking to see one go that way... but at least the cause of its death wasnt a mystery to me.

I have no idea what happened he was doing so well and tank parameter's were spot on.

Sorry to hear he didn't make it Greg :(

Atleast it was fast and he didn't suffer. But he was my focus point in my 75 gal corner & I don't know what to do with it now he is gone.I still have my Snow Flake eel, Valintini Puffer, Picasso Trigger and a Green Sea Star in the tank but don't know what else to add that would bring the tank back to life.
