DIY Nano Ca Reactor

I have seen a lot of DIY Ca reactors on the web using a regular household water filtration unit and PVC. Anyone on here made one before? Any pictures or advice?

might sound a cute but keep it simple, really. They don't need to be complicated, I'm not even using a recir pump on mine.
