Reefing always amazes me
 

so after leaving for a short week vacation and leaving my tank in the hand of a family member (which is a little nerve racking), it absolutely amazes me to see how much growth can happen in such a short time. one of my montipora seemed to grow a few cm's, newer zoa colonies seemed to explode with new polyps.

I guess you don't really see this stuff when your examining your tank everyday. Its cool to see what can happen in as little as a week as far as growth and tank progression.

Actually its more you not looking at the tank everyday. Try taking some pictures waiting a week them comparing the week old pictures to current pictures. The subtle growth you see between the pictures makes you wonder how you could miss it.
