Cherub Angel and Flame Angel in a 75 Gallon?
 

As the title says, would a flame angel and a cherub angel likely coexist peacefully in a 75 gallon tank?

Really depends on the individual personality of the fish IME. I had a flame and a bi-color in a 68g and then a 110g and they co-existed...there were random chases by the larger flame...but not relentlessly.... now if the bi-color were the bigger fish I think I would have had an issue.....the flame was a pretty mello fish, the Bi color was an aggressive little cuss.

Which one(if any) do you have already?

I don't have either yet. Just thinking about how to fill out the tank. I would probably get the cherub next and the flame as the last fish in.

If you are set on having 2 angels in the tank then i would add them together. I've had a cherub angel in the past and it was a bossy little thing...luckily it was the last fish to be added to the tank and the other fish just ignored him

You can never be sure that they will learn to coexist.

I had a majestic, a flame and a cherub together in the same tank a 125G.

The flame almost killed the cherub at first however after a couple of days they settled down. The flame chases the cherub from time to time until the cherub died from other causes. I would add the cherub and about a month later add the flame.

I have a flame, regal, emperor and coral beauty in the same tank they are coexisting with no fighting.

try a flame angel and an eibli angel. Eibli angels are very cheap, good looking and very timid. Had both together before in the same tank for years.

just curious, but what does the price of the fish have to do with anything? It should not matter what price it is, these are living creatures taken right out of the ocean and we should not be treating them as throw aways. Sorry I just get upset when people talk like that.

Just because I said that eibli angels are cheap doesn't mean that I was inferring that they were throwaways. I meant that he doesn't need to buy a $100 fish like a regal or blue-face and have a 50/50 chance of keeping it alive, whereas an inexpensive eibli angel has it's own beauty and is very hardy, and doesn't cost very much. I think it's the best "bang for the buck" saltwater fish in available to the hobby.

I have a Emperor, Coral beauty and a flame angles in a 90 gallon. All added at different times with no problems. My thinking It has to do with personality, size, shape and colours. I also helps to feed them well, that way the don't have to compet for food. :smile:
