36" AquaMedic OceanLight $425 shipped 2x250W 13K Giesemann Metal Halide 2x39W Actinic+ Giesemann T5 http://www.aqua-medic.com/oceanlight_T5_HQI_combo.shtml Phone: 250 649 0465 Email: whatcaneyedo@gmail.com or PM You get everything you see here. I've tossed in two timers I dont need anymore. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture023.jpg The metal halide bulbs are 11 months old, the T5's in the fixture are 9 months and the new AquaBlue T5's are 3 months old. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture024.jpg While I was using the light I had the MH bulbs spaced further apart for my 48" long tank which required me to cut this spacer in half. Upon request I can space the bulbs again or leave it stock. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture026.jpg The ballast box contains 2 250W magnetic HQI ballasts and cooling fan. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture029.jpg One hanging wire height adjuster is missing a small ball bearing which causes the apparatus to be a bit stiff when adjusting height. If you can find another ball bearing the same size it will be as good as new. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture030.jpg German made :D http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture034.jpg |

would consider if you head into van sometime soon.

I dont have any plans to but if something comes up I'll send you a PM.

Bump. How about this: $500 and free shipping.
|
how do the t5s do for light spread in your 48" tank?
I am sure that the halides are fine as a 250 de should handle 2 ft squared with no problem but as for your actinic supplementation, do you have dark spot on the edges of your system? |
I find that the sides of the tank up near the surface of the water are a little darker with just the T5s on but the spread at the bottom of the tank is pretty uniform. Right now I have Giesemann Aquablue (20K) T5s and 13K MH in the fixture.
With both MH and T5 on http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture073.jpg With just T5 on http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...Picture076.jpg |
I am interested to know more about how much I have to pay for the shipping and the insurance as well. With this kind of light somebody from US company told me is very easy to get damaged when you ship them. If you have the original box and wrap with foam outside, toweled the glass and bulb then need to put in another box ... I think that will make them even heavier and there might be an extra charge for that too. It's called "freight" charge or something ... I'm not sure. Anyway you can PM me so we can talk more about it.

Got your PM and tried to send PM back to you but it didn't work. Anyway my wife planned to have a 5 foot tank in the future, I think I better look for a couple 250W pendent than a fixed light fixture for her. She can not decide what she wants and that made me a "bad" guy to everybody.
